2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Manual Java Black
Aux Power Socket

Just wondered how anyone has tackled this on their 90's - im looking for options, before moving on to a second battery (which is another thing to consider).

Mike,, If its 12v aux sockets you mean,, There are meant to be 2 power supply feeds fitted , certainly on the 90 and 110XS,,
I found one on mine,, behind the speaker panel, r/hand rear,, Black and Purple wire, Their is meant to be a second one somewhere, about halfway back,, Both projected by a fuse in position 2 (Accessory socket) in the under seat fuse box

Great - i shall have a look...although i might wire something direct so i can plug the roof tent light in without the key.

Does the socket fit in that same panel?

Mike

I fitted a socket (these http://www.towsure.com/product/1923-Cigar_Lighter_Socket ) either side of the rear door, into the speaker panel , If you use the factory loom, they are rated at 20amp, and always powered,, I runs the tent power feed from one, the other is used for the Engle, with a low voltage switch

My power feed was dead, until i trace the lead back, and found a joint connector fixed to the brake servo bracket under the bonnet, somehow, this connector was not making contact, !!!

Thats good news - ive got one of those (actually in its own housing)

So if i can find the Black/purple wire then i may be in business with a none switched feed - thats great news thanks.

hopefully it will just work - i assume no additional fuses required as it uses one in the box?

Can you get a power socket that can be fitted in the cubby box ?

Not from the factory

One of the reasons we all run defender, is the ability to do what ever you want,,
Would be easy to run a power socket to where ever you want
