Anyone Know Indesit?

I was given this dishwasher with no manual and have never owned one.
Anyone can explain the symbols and buttons with some time on their hands?

OK, here's what I reckon. Not based on having owned one, but on logic and similar settings on my machine.

First the three buttons:

POWER - on/off
PLUS - ie. longer, harder cycle.
RAPID (supposed to look like the outline of an alarm clock).

The dial:
1 & 2 look like pre-wash cycles
1+ - Filthy/dirty pots & pans (needs the PLUS button pressed)
1. - Regular pots & pans
2. - Maybe drying for the pre-wash cycles.

3. - Heavy wash for regular dishes.
4. - Regular dishes cycle.
5. - Short cycle for dishes.

6. - Rapid wash - with the RAPID button pressed.
7. - Rinse cycle only.

Hope this helps.

Another Question

Does the water level during operation have to cover the heater element or is it a low wattage jobbie that heats up the water as it splashes over the element?

James

No, I do not wear the skirt in the house in case you were wondering. I just love to know how things work, thats why I own two Landies Mr. Green
