Australia 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Manual Zermatt Silver

You'll notice in the 2 pics above the LCD under the speedo is still visibly and LCD even when powered off. This isn't the case for the central one and I suspect this is because it isn't part of the pod on the Defender, just a blanking plate.

I suspect the OAT sensor would be part of the CANbus and so should communicate back to the instrument cluster potentially via the BCU or individually by itself. This begs the question what happens if you swap instrument pods with a Disco. Assuming all warning lights etc are the same ... anybody game to try that??

I was going to post the picture of the freelander 2 saying that...you can clearly see it when its not on, so im with you that its not there.

that would be the easiest way - unfortunately my mate's Disco is a compay car so he probably wouldn't be too keen on me cannibalising it - however if anyone has a spare instrument pod.......
