United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Landmark LE Corris Grey
Nolden LEDs Fitted
So after a lot of dithering around I finally decided to take the plunge and buy some clear chrome Nolden LED lights.

Big thank you to Barbara and Brendan at 4x4overlander they arrived very promptly and perfectly packed.

They were replacing some Wipac crystal with Phillips +130% bulbs.

I was actually perfectly happy with the light output of the above set up but had a hankering for some LEDs as i was used to the light output and colour of xenons in my previous car (VW Golf).

So after lots of two-and-fro I picked the Noldens over the JW Speaker Evo2 as I prefer the look of them.

Right hand is the Nolden the left is the Wipac, the halogen looks brighter because of the reflection angle i think (also adjustment was out). But it is clear the Wipacs have a much bigger "kick up"

I think they are a visual improvement over the Wipac

You can see the LED is a crisper white colour not so yellow

Now both fitted

Just been out for a test now its pitch black and verdict is I am pleased I bought them think it was a worthwhile purchase, they have a much clearer whiter light as you'd expect, bring the Defender into the 21st century. -2015 Defender 90 XS Landmark-

Good choice, welcome to the Nolden club, I went for the dark chrome version and am very satisfied. The other thing to consider about LED's compared to Halogens is the lamp life and total load, it is very unlikely that you will ever have to change bulbs ever again and the reduced load on the electrical system has to be advantage.
