I can't comment on Harwoods Basingstoke but I have never had a bad experience with Harwoods Tonbridge so would definitely recommend them

No answer from their number on three different occasions... Shame. I'm booked in at Harwoods Basingstoke - I'll report back on service etc. |

I booked with Guava once. They were to pick up my car at an agreed time.
Four hours later, no-one had turned up so I phoned. 'Oh, the driver never came in.' 'Did you not think to call?' 'We were going to'. 'When? Oh never mind. OK, so tomorrow then'. 'No, you've missed your slot. We can do two weeks time....' Useless fuŁŁers. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop Now a 2013 110 USW too. |

I have been using Brooklyn 4x4 in Nursling near Southampton for the past 11 years for all my servicing and MOT's and I would highly recommend them (have bought a Disco 2 and my current 90TD5 Auto from them as well).

i bought my old TD5 from Brooklyn4x4 and had it serviced and MOT'd there every year.
When the new truck is out of warranty I will probably go back there for MOT/servicing. I would recommend them if you want an independent option. |

Harwoods can MOT a vehicle ok but don't bother to try and get them to do anymore then that! Unless you want a lot of trouble. Russell

For the benefit of others, Harwoods Basingstoke were friendly and prompt with the service and MOT.
I dropped her in just after 8 when they open and was (eventually) given a lift to the station by one of their team, somewhat disappointingly in a Nissan Micra rather than any of the extensive JLR fleet! Phoned by lunch time to query something in the previous service history and then again about 3 to say she was done, all passed etc. (no advisories! ) and would just be going off to the wash bay and would be ready for me soon.
I got back to Basingstoke about 5:30 and was reunited, sadly she had not received her complimentary wash and vacuum... Still, as one of the technicians said, "Well, they don't look like proper Defenders if they don't have any mud on". Other than that oversight I can't fault them. |

I'll take back my recommendation for Guava as have experienced the same lack of contact from them with no response to my attempt to contact a couple of times...phone and email.
Anyone used Guy Salmon Portsmouth or Hunters Guildford for servicing? |

I can't comment on Hunters Guildford for servicing but they did help me out recently with an ad hoc visit to look at my clutch which they fixed on the spot while Harwoods in Pulborough had been denying the problem existed for months!
So a plus point for Hunters Guildford for skill and attitude at least. 2.2 90 XS 88" Series One Old Norton

Had my 90 done at a variety of main dealers in East Berks, e.g. Lancaster Burnham and Reading but latterly at Guy Salmon in Ascot who have also done any warranty work, including when technically outside of the warranty period and they have been on my side in discussion with LR customer care (who have always been very professional).
The last GS service was very efficient and she runs the best she ever has just now so from me. |
