Watch the warranty start date.
I bought a new Disco some years ago and fell for the "it must be registered this month" line the warranty started the date it was registered but it was two months later that I handed over the cash and took delivery. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

well thats just it, its November now and they've admitted they can postpone the registering till dec 31st, so they are not even saying it has to be this month. I cant see why they cant postpone it another couple a days!

I am also registering a 90 in January ,in Ireland , I would think its more to so with dealers deadlines/sales figures than anything else.
Contact the registration office or ask who is telling them to register it and show you paperwork to support it Thumbs Up

As a matter of interest, to Dfrs and CR, when did ye place yer orders that ye could get them in Ireland? I went to the local dealer to me in Galway, well in advance of the 26th deadline and was told they'd no further access to new ones. Once I heard this went straight to Belfast (thought they'd be same as UK) again no joy. Eventually got one in UK but the sterling rate is killing me now! All the more reason why I want to hold off till jan to reg...

So can the defenders built in January 2016 be registered in March on a '16' plate or do they all have to be registered as '65'?

Mine has a build date of 29th Jan. My dealer will register 1st March for me on a 16 plate.

Hi Daisy90

Thank you for your post.

I note your query and must advise that any vehicle supplied by our retailers must be registered at the point of sale, there would no option to purchase an unregistered vehicle.

Regards

Ryan
