I'd watch it all night if you can, just to be safe but they might be back.

It's still here this morning. Hopefully the police will be here to finger print it later as it has a big greasy hand mark on it. Unfortunately the scum now also know the rear door is chained so it only opens a few inches.
I've only had the thing 3 weeks it must be a record. Other half is not impressed and wants me to get shut of it. One thing that did worry me was the alarm stopped sounding after 30 secs to a minute even though the back door was open. Glad you still have tho. I this isn't the be all and end all but anyone considered putting a 'peg' on the fuel line to prevent it going too far? What about a bit of string from prop to fuel line (damage limitation and all that?) |

don't listen to me but I'm sure it is correct.....something to do with keeping the peace. house alarms do the same. I believe on both you can adjust the run time and on house alarms I believe there is a max time period 5 or 15 mins?
hopefully someone else can confirm. |

Recommendations are that residential property alarms should silence themselves after 20 minutes. If the alarm continues after 20 minutes it can constitute a "Statutory Nuisance" and police can obtain an order from a magistrate to enter the premises and silence it. I guess this only happens where the alarm is ringing for days rather than hours.

It's getting a better alarm and imobiliser fitted later now anyway with a proximity alarm which will chirp. Should be enough to wake the hounds at least! 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
