I go back to this point which you seem unable to address - who is the "Land Rover" you reference?

The OP has no contract with Land Rover.

I think you misunderstand the role of the courts in the UK.

By your definition all contract terms would be unfair unless they have been ruled on by a court and found to be fair. Many contracts have fair terms that have been nowhere near a court.

This may be just the way you have phrased your argument, but I think you will find that the law requires very precise wording to carry the correct meaning and can seem quite harsh when you are not.

I have 1 option....a standard 90SW XS (2016 MY) in Santorini. Think I'll have to go for it or potentially not secure a car.

That is terrible news matey... Shocked

Have you not received any assistance or input from Ryan here on JLR Customer Services... Question

Whilst reserving your right to have first refusal on the offered truck, I would be a bit hesitant to formally accept any alternative until you are absolutely certain all other avenues are closed off... Whistle

Ryan pointed out where the fault lay - with the dealer. However, beyond that, no assistance from JLR.

Send him a PM and ask if under the circumstances he can't help find you something better suited to your requirements.

I'd also hammer the phones and ring through the complete list of dealers until you find something you like.

They have. Although I could have negotiated a better discount and had my choice of specification two months ago.

I'm popping back in tomorrow to chat through it.

Deal done on the XS. In hindsight I'm not so disappointed - happy to get a MY16 car with a few more extras than the Heritage.

Delivery anticipated October. The shame is that the spec is locked so far ahead of production.

Perhaps Ryan can put pressure on to have this changed in your circumstances and have them allow a bit of flexibility in the factory spec options in your case... Whistle  Rog... Mr. Green

1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale
