Alarm - Puma 2.4 - Install and Security
Hi All!

I'm new to the forum so please go easy on me. I'm getting a Puma 2.4 tdci, but want to install some security i.e. an alarm, central locking etc.

What does everyone recommend and what is the easiest to install / have a guide to install?

Thanks in advance.

Sadly they don't.

There are lots of threads answering your questions, have a good search and read and head back if you are still unsure.

BTW, in my opinion, the best electric window and central locking kits are the original, Genuine LR items

Fair enough. Not come by any yet. Even farmers pumas have all that. Although I've cone by a few that didn't get spec'd with a stereo yet had electric windows.

Not all of them.

I've been in a 2009 Puma which didn't have a factory alarm, no central locking and no electric windows, and my 2011 has a factory alarm but manual windows and doors.
Mine also didn't come out of the factory with a radio so has an aftermarket one.

Spec must vary so much, Mine has factory electric windows, alarm, immobilizer, stereo, AC etc and I thought most did these days.

It's an option on all of them.

AFAIK air con is only standard on the XS.

You get central locking on a County.

On poverty spec you get windows that don't randomly stop working and can be adjusted with the ignition off, and door locks that don't randomly decide to lock your keys in.

I think I'd quite like to add air con, but I happier without the others!
