Andrew,

What is the half tune you have on yours?

One the way down what was your average mpg?

Also I don't know what temps you were in but did you notice your transmission running hot while cruising? Something I had with mine while returning from te Alps this year, popped a few oil seals.

Cheers

Boy

Andrews half tune is exactly that, he wanted a map that was weaker than the norm incase he was stuck in the sand and had to give it full bore for long periods of time.

Thats clever! I didn't know you could do that.

Mine is back at the dealers again as it gave up the ghost on th eway home. I still think it is the PCJ issue as it only has done it when cold and for the last five times it had to be recovered they told me it was water in the fuel but how many times can you do amod to the breather pipe before you start looking somewhere else?

Good luck with it, its a shame they cant get to the bottom of its mysterious problem.

Let us know if and what they find.

I am hoping they will sort it this time! As the land rover assist chap draind some diesel from the pump and though there was a little water not enough to (in his words) to have any effect. Out of interest it was a fuel code that came up P1169.

MPG to be honest I have not done the exact sums but I reckon about 24 ish. Last year without the re map we were getting 16 -18 Big Cry Considering we were loaded and had loads on the rack 24 is good.

We had no issues at all with the car. I must admit I have a bit more faith in the vehicle now. You should have seen the places we drove in very very soft sand.
