The Autosparks wiring harness arrived and I've made a start:

No ECU to worry about!

...but what looks like a lot of wires for just two dials on the dash:

I finished all the wiring under the bonnet. Added a gallon of fuel and after some fiddling with the points it runs again!

I wasn't completely happy with the harness around the voltage regulator and junction box, so rearranged it. Much tidier now!

I admire your optimism!

Shortly after the shakedown test yesterday a pin-hole appeared in one of the core plugs, producing a perfect jet of hot coolant Rolling Eyes

Now sorted and better to find these things sooner rather than later!

Turned a bit of a corner today in re-attaching the first of the Birmabright body panels, which are now the only things left on the garage floor. The last really grimy job was to clean, refill and replace the oil bath air cleaner:

Very little paint left on it!

The flat front apron back on after a polish:

And a wipe over the unpainted alloy surface underneath with ACF-50:

It's nice that you're keeping some of the patina.
Cool

Everything from now on has more patina than you can shake a stick at! All the shiny bits will soon be out of sight and it's going to end up looking a lot like it did before I started. Rolling Eyes

I finished off a few small, but time consuming jobs; the plumbing to the Smiths heater and fixing some 7/8" and 5/8" bonnet tape to the radiator panel and edges of the apron respectively with bifurcated brass rivets:

Got as far as manoeuvring the rear tub out of the garage. It is nice and straight with just a little surface corrosion on the spars, but the rear corners will need work. The nearside is not too bad, having been bent / straightened out and reinforced. The offside will need a repair panel fabricating as the Birmabright has torn and there is a lot of filler in where it has been patched.
