Im 6ft 5 and tried them all at Eastnor. I also did not want to tie up all the area on my rack, with the Howling moon i still have a large useable area at the front.

Its the 1.4m with the Annex like Andrews. When it was on the 90 i could use the annex to the rear like Andrew has, but now i have a farmer pickup i think i will mount the tent coming off the side so the annex is against the passenger rear door.

i can see why then it might be too short.

We took the decision early on that there wouldnt be much usable weight up there anyway with a tent - plus i wouldnt want too much up there favouring getting it as low as possible, which is one of the reasons we didnt get one with the roof rack or box built in

As there are three of us and junior won't sleeo by himself, we will need a 1.6m so will also side fit the tent. We did see a 1.8m Eesi awn at Billing which was huge but I think the Howling Moon tents are better quality. Not sure whether to get one now or wait till next year as we only have one trip to do this summer, which is a long weekend, so may spend the next few months looking on ebay, unless anyone has or knows of a secondhand for sale.

We thought of getting an awning, but decided on an annex tent (yet to use) as it also marks our spot.

It must be me, but you top shell seems bigger than ours!
