Drivetrain would be nice, would have to swap that horrid interior and the panel extensions for me though.

I really don't get the 'thing' for ultra fast or ultra luxurious Defenders. If one wants a fast Landrover, then buy a Sport SVR, if one wants a really luxurious one, buy a Full Fat Autobiography. If, for some bizarre reason, both attributes are required, then Land Rover has recently introduced the SVAutobiography.

Should just a fast car be the object of desire, then buy a sports car.

Or, if it is an off road truck one is after, few unnecessary comforts, but pretty much as unstoppable as they come, buy a fairly standard Defender.

Am I missing something?

i've no issues with subtly and tastefully modified defenders, but thats just too many steps too far. completely pointless and extremely tasteless. Who buys this ****?

No mate, I think you've got it right. There seem to be a lot of people buying Defenders right now, who then try and turn them into something that's not a Defender.

Somebody else on here recently said something to the effect of 'appreciate a Defender for what it is, rather than being disappointed about what it isn't'. Wise words IMHO.

precisely. more important that all the bits you could add to a defender is the smile it puts on your face when sat at the (standard Wink ) wheel!

They may never tell you "no one", or only at a huge loss. Even bored cashed up people looking for something to make themselves different and unique from their friends are usually not that stupid. Well the ones that earn it legally anyway.

On the other hand it could be every possible idea and mod available has been added to one promo car. I have seen a few over the top Defenders like that. It makes sense on one hand as it's keeps manufacturing cost down, but taken as a final product with every box ticked they look quite useless. My Defender and travels
