Switching Remaps done by YOU the customer when ever you wish

Im posting this thread to see what intrest there is in the new product im offering.

It will be a box that will enable you to control the state of your mapping, EG standard or tuned.
You will be able to choose when ever you wish what map you decide to use and program the car acordingly.

This is done with the box in the pictures below (prototype pictures) please give feed back on there looks Smile

Step 1 : Order B-A-S map switching programing module.
Step 2 : With the software provided installed on your PC you will choose your car model from the list in the software.
Step 3 : Program the B-A-S switching programming module with your car choice.
Step 4 : Remove module from PC and connect to the car OBD port , you will be prompted to press Y to read the ecu.
Step 5 : Re connect the B-A-S switching programming module with your PC and download the file.
Step 6 : Email me the file for tuning and modification.
Step 7 : Upload the tuned file to the B-A-S switching programming module with the PC software.
Now the B-A-S switching programming module will have 2 files inside it, STD & TUNED.
Step 8 : Connect to your car and program mod tuned file.

The advantage of this tool is that if you need to change the car back to standard or tuned at ANY time you have the tool to make this happen without having to travel back to your tuners workshop.

Once the B-A-S switching programming module is programed with the STD & TUNED files there is no longer a use for the PC.
You can change between maps as many times as you wish in the future.

This tool is available for Many models the Landrover range is:

Defender 2.4TDCI
Discovery 2.7TDV6
Rangerover 3.0L TD6
Rangerover 3.6TDV8
Rangerover Sport 2.7TDV6
Rangerover Sport 3.6TDV8
Freelander 2.0L TD4
Freelander 2 2.2TDI

Remap& Switch = 645GBP including mapping.

Prices are subject to VAT + postage

Regards Pete

I have one too and think its one of the best things since the proverbial "sliced bread" Thumbs Up

And guess what, after the floods and my electrical woes my Defender went into the stealers and they put her on the diagnostics machine (only after I switched back to normal) and they aint got a clue that she had been re-mapped at all Rolling with laughter

Now I have her back, the modified re-map is back on Thumbs Up

Cheers Pete Bow down

Not actually played with mine yet Big Cry Craig my youngest son popped in to see Pete yesterday with the Red Dwarf and he sorted the box out. Craig is still working away but should be back later today. I am hoping to plug the box into our other Pumas and use it to clear faults. As we are off to Morocco on the 15th Oct I feel a lot happier now that I have a fault clearing tool. Bow down Thumbs Up

Pete,

I have just had a new engine installed, under warranty ! and would like more power now, as new engine is running nice and smooth , so no problems ! , your switchable re-map seams to be the way to go. Would you recommend I have the work done now or wait a few months till the engine loosens up a bit ?

Am I right in assuming , that this can be done over the net using your remap box. Based in Ireland so cant get to your place !

N.

Hello Nidge

I did 95% of the developement and tuned the Allisport car at 300 miles old with no problems.

Ive also tuned many of the new defenders with very little miles on with no problems what so ever so i belive you dont have to wait for the tuning you can do it now.

Why did you have a engine replacememnt ?

Regards Pete

Engine was replaced due to knocking noise on start up ! Seams some of the early ones had this problem of no oil getting to the bottom on the cylinders on start up from cold.

What would a remap cost me ?

Hi Nidge,

I had the re-map added when my TDCi had covered some 2000 miles and she has now done 7000 miles with no problems at all - just more useable power Thumbs Up

She has been into the stealers for several bits of warranty work since and I always put her back to standard just before taking her in and they dont have a clue Laughing

I even put her back to standard in their carpark the last time she was in and put the switchable re-map device in the cubby box Rolling with laughter

Russell.

Hello all

Im adding a small limited offer on the BAS remap interfaces for the puma or TDV6 D3 & RRS.

I only have a small ammount of units available in this offer so be fast if your intrested.

The offer is

£600 all in , including the map with free UK delivery.
OR
£300+vat if you already have a remap from another supplier, (You Must Collect) This is because to save your existing mapping i will need to do the programming of the tool to the car in my workshops.

Oh Yes. Drove down with the half tune on and found that performance and economy were great, Got down into the Spanish mountains and found that I needed more power to get up the twisty mountain passes. So we pulled over had a brew and stuck the full tune on (about 3 minutes). This resulted in effortless safe overtaking.

I also was able to read and clear the faults in all the other puma vehicles.
