Mystery socket?

Hi all,

Doing some poking around my truck this weekend and found this under the cubby box next to the passenger seat.

I think it's for a radio? I think the previous owner had CB installed as there appear to be two antenna mounts on the roof at the rear above the door and some co-ax inside the back.

Any positive ID would be appreciated!

Cheers - should I be thinking about getting a cover or something in case it gets gubbed up with dust/grit and the other usual crud which accumulates under Landie seats?

I took the cubby box off, took the socket out of the metal bracket and bolted the cubby box down on top of the socket and its wire, there is room to put it under there. just another layer of security
