RF3777,

Because I did want to feed the new cable through the firewall I cut the cable near the old antenna and put a female connector at the this end. Very easy.

The previous owner changed out the antenna of my D110 to some short (3/4 up the windscreen) antenna for some reason which doesn't seem to do a good job when I try using the FM radio. All stations have static and are not clear. Maybe this Nakatanegna antenna will be the solution I'm looking for.

Just out of curiosity, is there an antenna that will help radio reception but will also work with UHF/VHF applications?

Assuming you want to transmit on VHF/UHF you would need a diplexer/triplexer and a suitable antenna. Usual application is on covert vehicle installs- not a cheap solution.

We get regular consignments from Nakatanenga varying from a single carton to a couple of pallets at a time.

We are at the mercy of couriers but transit time is normally 2-3 days, unless the courier imps decide to misplace a consignment. We have had a delivery stuck in a depot 25 miles away for a week Big Cry

There are lots of new stuff in the pipeline, sometimes they go from design to production smoothly and quickly. Sometimes items are put to 'sleep' then I get my poking stick out and try to jolly things along a bit with mixed results.

These in yet Brendan?

Also, does this come with the lead that connects to rear of stereo, or does it connect to existing lead?

Quick search reveals it comes with a cable length of 133cm. You can use your existing cable as a means of pulling the new one through and just plug it in to your head unit. I fitted an Entreq one ages ago and apparently they seem to be the same item. It comes with a male jack fitted.

Mine arrived today and was fitted within 24hrs of my conversation with Brendan yesterday Very Happy

I haven't taken it anywhere to test it yet but have tuned FM stations in on the head unit for the first time in 5 or 6 years and found more DAB stations than my cobbled up DAB antenna made from bits of amateur radio equipment.

I suspect that only worked as well as it did because it was bolted to the roof rack which is going (soon hopefully) and hence the need for a good wing antenna.

FM was always an issue even with brand new (cheap) antenna's in the past so this is definitely an improvement so far. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.
