Hey all, been fitting my mantec snorkel and discovered a few problems. Wanted to only fit it as per instructions and without lots of sealer in case it needs taking off again but looks like i have to. I have contacted the company i bought it off but they are saying to send it back and they will forward to mantec, i have to pay the postage for this but mantec are 10 miles from me! Lucky i checked the sealing before imersing it in water. I threw a bucket of water over it and could even see light when shining a torch behind it.

Why didnt you deal with Mantec direct? I do and you will find they are often quite a bit cheaper.

Right guys, fitted the snorkel today, will deal with the external sealing issues later by making a new main seal, but here are a few pics extra to the instructions by AndrewS as mine is a TD5 and might be a bit different. Sorry for the poor picture quality.
