Warranty on New Model?

Just reading that for the new 2016 Jaguar F-Type Jaguar has generously upped the complimentary service period, going from covering the first service only, to handing out five years or 60,000 miles of free maintenance to owners.

That new plan is paired with an extended warranty, which has been expanded from five years or 50,000 miles to match the new complimentary service period.

I'm guessing to entice the numbers JLR want in to the new defender model, the chances of a similar approach goes up when they have already done it for a different model in the overall lineup.
