Answering the Op's question, maybe because the Director of design is too busy on jollies such as this:

http://www.psfk.com/2015/03/land-rover-dir...-2015.html

Can't bring myself to sit down and listen to him for 15 mins, so if anyone does - let me know if he says anything of interest Rolling Eyes

" the core of Landrover is design"
Yep nowt about function, ability, practicality it's now designer cars and perceived lifestyles.
Alas I feel the only part of a new defender that will exist it's it name other that that there will be no link to its heritage in any form

I found it stimulating, intresting and gripping!

Pretty much the same as I find when watching paint drying Whistle For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Design is what sells JLR these days. Without it there would possibly be no Tata ownership. Maybe we should wait to see the Defender replacement before commenting on it?

Bear in mind that the start of next month is April 1st Rolling Eyes but the article linked below does seem to hint at a preview very soon..

Answers 1 and 2....It didn't stop a number of people dashing out as quick as their feet could carry them or simply on a whim to place a deposit on the DC 100 a number of years ago.

Whatever it may be or look like I'd wager they'll sell like hot cakes.
