Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green
Hello Nigel, I think I've seen you on Aulro.
Stick around here, I'm only on my first Defender, I've picked up HEAPS from these guys, they are a wealth of info on Defenders.
No confirmation on A/C yet? We've just got back from a few days cruising in Gracie, it was only 28/30C, but I was really glad of the A/C.
Regards, Pickles.

Australia 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
Hi Pickles, Yep been around a while with the Series 1's, & will definitely stick around for the Defender. I can't believe that an Australian version will not have A/C, it is 39.6 C here in the Perth Hills today heading for 42 or so, so would be a must. I've done a few trips in the 107" where we have been in the high 30's & fuel vaporization becomes the biggest issue with that, especially if you stop for a while!
Regards Nigel

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure my dealer is the highest volume Land Rover dealer in Australia and they don't yet have any idea how many Celebration vehicles will be allocated to them or to Australia. Manager has heard the rumour that 100 Heritage cars will be allocated to Aus, but only a rumour so far, nothing official yet.

So tbh I don't think any dealer can really give a firm allocation yet . . . they don't know how many/if any cars they are getting. Nick

Don't know who had them all. But found out yesterday none of the lookers franchise had an autobiography.

It also appears a few adventures left

Yes this is correct RE: lack of Autobiography models for Lookers.

Autobiography models were only allocated to those dealers who shifted a lot of Defenders or were high-end dealers (such as Stratstone of Mayfair who allegedly received 3). Weirdly some dealers who would never have (IMO) had the target market for an Autobiography (I.e. Those who tend to sell purely for agricultural only markets), seem to have been allocated quite a lot purely because they shift the volume!

I think you are right regarding the relatively high allocation for rural/agricultural dealers.
My dealer in Ashford in Kent which is pretty much surrounded by farmland received 6 in total, 1 each of the 3 heritage variants, 1 each of the adventures and a single autobiography. The salesman at the dealer told me that they were slightly nervous of having to stock the autobiography but sold it within half an hour of it becoming available. There must be a lot of money in farming!

My Autobiography is actually coming from one of those said agricultural dealers. They told me they sell very little Range Rovers but shed loads of Defenders. They said their initial reaction had been similar to other agricultural dealers as they said their regular market 'have no interest in taking a £60k Defender on a farm' and had worried if they would shift it.

No matter...I came along Wink

I'm not too good on the computer, & a member on here was going to "instruct" Wifey on the way to go, but we never got around to it. But stay tuned, wifey will give it a go later today if she can.

Wild Rover,

Did your dealer explain why you have to wait until the end of February to let you know whether they can supply a heritage? As I understand it all the dealers have been allocated the vehicles they are going to receive and they received this info earlier this month.
Are they expecting a customer to cancel their order or are they trying to get more stock from Land Rover?
If you have a signed order and have paid a deposit they should be obliged to supply you with a vehicle so I hope you get some good news next month.
