Front Seats..
Is there a Step by step guide on how to remove the middle seat on a Defender with a bulkhead, I hear its a pain in the b? Also my passenger front Seat is stuck right the way back near the bulk head won't budge don't think its moved for years. Tried WD40 on it but doesn't work?

Any ideas? 2001 90 TD5 CSW Alveston Red Manual

The middle seat isn't too dificult to remove.
Lift up the base,it's just clipped in like the driver & passenger. There are 4 bolts holding it in.IIRC.
Simples. Smile

The rear bolts on the middle seat can be a bit of a beggar to get to I have an extra long 3/8 drive extension thatI use, regarding the passenger seat make sure that the seat slider lever is lifting all the way up and disengaging in the slider.s

If you can get it to me I'll move it. A defender front seat doesn't stand a chance against my 18 stone supermodel figure and iron grip on the front bar Laughing get angry with it Thumbs Up

I've managed to sort (in a way) the passenger seat.. it appears to be the spring mechanism, so when a person is sat on it, its really hard to move. But when you are outside the vehicle and push it forward while holding the back of the seat it moves freely. Now to have ago at removing the centre seat.. 2001 90 TD5 CSW Alveston Red Manual

Centre seat is easy, once you know how.

You have to take the centre access panel off, under the rubber matt once you take the centre seat base off. Four Philips screws for access panel . Take front bolts out first. To get rear bolts out you need a t6 star drive and a 14mm socket underneath, using the access hatch. A torch is a nessecity and you need to take the driver and passenger base seats off get good access . The other bolts hold the seat belt mounts. It's easy once you have done it. I did mine over Christmas , full 1/2 exmoor re trim and heated seats Smile

I managed to get an Exmoor trim Locbox from ebay its not the same colour as my trim but I can upholster the lid whenever. 2001 90 TD5 CSW Alveston Red Manual

I've managed to get my middle front seat out was quite hard work as 3 out of 4 bolts removed fine. The last one T40 screw head wouldn't budge. I now have 4 holes, do I just put the screws back in will they be loose or are there any alternatives to what can go there? 2001 90 TD5 CSW Alveston Red Manual

If the nuts underneath were captive just screw the bolts back in if the nuts were loose put them back.
