Recommended road springs for a TD5 90
Hi can someone recommend a comfortable road spring setup for my TD5 90?

I have already fitted some Bilstein shocks but still on Standard springs and it's too bouncy
I don't do a huge amount of off-roading and would like around a 1" drop as well

Rangerover classic or disco1 V8 springs would be quite soft i'd imagine.

I have defender 90 front springs fitted to the rear as well. This gives a lovely smooth ride but without loosinf the load carrying capability. I have them teamed up with Terrafirma dampers and I am really pleased with it. So much better than the standard set up.

I wa recommende to also replace the fronts with Range Rover springs, but I have not done so as I feel like I have it just right.

I was advised to do all this by a JLR Engineer who works at Gaydon - so it is 'official' advice.

Check out Alive Tuning. They have just what you're after which will go well with your Bilsteins & road use,...Alive have springs that will level up the ride height of a 90 & lower it about 1-1.5".

yeah looked at Alive but the price isn't justifiable just for the springs

Which year of Range Rover spring is recommended by JLR?
Only the front, what about rear?

I will need to check the advice on the Range Rover springs for the front as I kept to the standard Defender 90 CSW springs, the rears are the same as the springs I have on the front.

4304'2 on the front and 4305's on the back. the 4305's are the red/white RR Police springs rated at 170lb's (opposed to 225 std) and the fronts are 150Lb's. Give about an inch of lift but make a significant improvement to comfort. I put them on mine a couple of months ago, very pleased with them. Combined with Koni shocks it now almost qualifies as comfortable.

In terms of load carrying, when I put 120kg of wheat in the back it drops about 1 1/2" and looks a little tail heavy, but that's only a couple of times a week and the rest of the time I run pretty light.
