Water in seat box
I went to sort out an earth fault on a TD5 and when I opened the seat box under the drivers seat it had 1/2 inch of water sloshing around!

I think this possibly got into the seat box from the rear tub as my truck was a pick up until a few mays ago when I fitted a hard top and water collected in the tub against the bulk head as the grommets where the wires enter the seat box all look ok with no sign of water marks.

The seat box was dried out but any views on whether I should make a drain hole as the seat box where the battery sits has a couple of holes in the base?

That's the plan but just wanted to see if there is any reason not to do that before getting the drill out!

If you drill a drain hole then this is also a water entry point. So if you do any wading then water will enter and I dont think the computer would like to be covered in water too much.
I would try and find an alternate solution to this problem. Shocked 2002 110 TD5 White
