Pen y Fan Camping
Looking at going to Pen y Fan tomorrow just for the weekend. Wife an kid away and thought I would chill out for a bit with the dog.

Any ideas on a camp site that is open this time of year in the area, only tenting and car?

Should be snowing there today above 400m, only need a camp site for a base otherwise I will walking in with the gear and wild camp.

Used to hang out there 15 years ago back in my uni days, cold, wind or snow Mr. Green

I've just been up there its really grim. The weather for tonight is even worse.
You would be a braver man than me camping out up there.
Anyway i would go Pontsticill side there are a couple of pubs with some nice car parks.

I was up on Torpantau top last night on the mountain bike. Was not as bad as we thought it would be. Can't recommend any campsites over there as I don't know any still open but you can come and pitch next door to the prior here in Llanthony. That is open. Smile
