MultiMeter - What's Yours?
Having 'mislaid' my trusty but ancient MultiMeter and realising sooner or later I will need one for Mamba... Big Cry

I have just ordered one of these, simply for two reasons; 1. It was inexpensive and; 2. It is Green... Mr. Green

Draper here too, hasn't let me down in the three/four years I've had it, I've also found the thermometer useful too.

I too have an AVO 8 in the bakelite case with an external rigid 'leatherette' box with a lid that folds under itself. It was what I was trained on and is not susceptiple to voltage fluctuations like most digital ones and apart from the bulkiness is one I still prefer to use today. Nevertheless I have a Fluke Multimeter and Fluke Insulation Tester that are both very good and get an overhaul and calibration by an instrument company every 12 months.

It really depends on how deep your pockets are and useage. I also have a small blue multimeter (Draper I think) that got me change out of £5 a few years ago from Halfords. That too will diagnose faults quite as effective as the Fluke.
