I'm not a big fan of the overall 'look' of this, but that's not what it's for.

It's a demonstration of what they can do, and it's a good showing! Can never go back to standard though, imagine all the holes! Shocked Cheers, David

From about 6.30 onwards the Land Cruiser in summation comes out on top against the Defender. Good reasoning and perhaps even us at the demise of the Defender in it's current format may be inclined to agree perhaps? Or agree to differ?

Yeah like the 70 series, but only the 76 ready - not a fan of the 78.

However, there's nothing like a defender is there?! Cheers, David

For a bush vehicle I'm not so sure! Whistle

He's right though about the Defender engine having to work extremely hard all it's life with the extra weight and the unreliability in comparison. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

yep have to agree on that, and we all know it don't we.

That may be though, I've only had one breakdown and its never failed to start or smoked, overheated etc. And I'm pretty sure mine was made on a friday Whistle

off to go and knock on wood now about 150 times... Cheers, David

Nice find David. I'm no fan of the presenter of this video I've watched a few of his presentations before, but I share his enthusiasm for the Troopy, I'm a Land Rover man at heart but I would sell my 90 if I got the chance of a 78 series Troopy.
I like what Alu-Cab have done to the Landy, the layout would suit me for some of the outings that we make (I'm thinking Highlands and Islands here) Quick to set up and equally as quick to dismantle, having slept or tried to sleep in the front seats of a 90 series Landcruiser Prado swb whilst waiting 4 hours for the first ferry from Corran on the way to Mull for the tour of Mull Rally the built in tent would be bliss. and there's plenty of out of the way places to stay for a night.

Dream on Bazza!
