Yes or No ( Axle Mud Shields )
Hi guys

I am about to swap my disco 300tdi rear axle over onto my 2.5td ( 200tdi ) 90 and as the old mud shield's were rotten i decided to leave them off as i wasn't sure wether to fit new ones or not as you tend to see loads of defender's without them fitted but i intend to use it for off roading.

what do you all think Smile Graham

Personally I run without them.

If fitted they don't prevent muck getting in but they can allow it to build up whereas at least without them there are less nooks & crannies for it to get trapped. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

Leave them off for ease of cleaning.

The downside is faster brake pad wear, but if you're off-roading then you will get that anyway.
