ending a post

if possible could posters give a conclusion to they post please

I find sometimes you look up a fault or just want help with something , you find the same problem under the search but no final answer if they got it sorted !

I have tried to help with advice to others and they have returned said thanks , good to know you have helped

some posts just disappear without a final "well this what was wrong in the end "

don't need a thank you , but a conclusion would be nice in case I get the same problem !

maybe this should have been in the grumpy old man topic

I find this very frustrating too. You search for ages and find something and think great only to read the posts to the end and it says "well it's booked in at the dealers on Monday so fingers crossed" and nothing added, the post maybe a year old but the information as to what the result was would be the whole point of posting the problem in the first place. 110 Hardtop

is there a way of looking back at topics you start or do you have to trawl through individual posts? be quite quick to do if you can find your own topics!
