Rear Diff has gone

Just over 3k miles and Chelsea is in the dealers having the rear diff replaced and the heated seats sorted as they don't work. I have been given a TDV8 FFRR as a loan car Razz

was it off roading? were you in 1st? and do you have ETC? just curious

The diff did not explode. Basically the diff has just got louder and louder. I don't know when the problem started so I cant say what gear the vehicle was in at the time. Its an XS so yes it has TC. The damage may have occured whilst 4x4ing I don't know. Our other 110 XS developed a rear diff problem at 50 miles before it had ever ventured off road.

When I drove Legless's vehicle I noticed that there was a whine/rumble, Very noticeable when rolling to a stop.
