Is there another company more local to me, I am in Shropshire. I would like to get the job done properly the first time and top up myself thereafter.

If you are unsure of the quality of his work you can look under mine

Ik keep finding parts of the chassis where the paint is flaking off in large pieces. Thumbs up for my dealer so far correcting it, but I have now arrived to a point to actually feel a bit uncomfortable to ask them to correct yet another part.
I have a sticker on my chassis with 'GKN Auto structures' on it.
Really considering to write them and ask if they think it's normal a chassis looses its paint and rusts from day one. What a worthless company that must be...

I expect GKN apply the exact surface finish Land Rover ask them to, so you can't really blame them. I asked my dealer if it was possible to get the chassis galvanised before my brand new 110 van was built, but he said it wasn't.

Bilt Hamber provided me with the necessary stuff to protect the underside once it was delivered, but I'll admit it was a grim job and not one I want to do again soon.

I might get flamed for this but don't get it waxoiled, use Bilt Hamber as Joe suggests or Dinitrol. I went dinitrol route and in my opinion it's far superior to wax oil. Much tougher finish. 110 Hardtop

I have just booked a Dinitrol rust treatment with Rustbuster in Spalding. Sounds like they do a comprehensive job!

They were one of the places I had in mind to get mine done (before I did it myself with Dynax) as it looks like they do a good job. Let us know how you get on.
