wiring multiple Carling switches
Looking at the Carling switches wiring instructions there is a power in & power out, earth and illumination
Earth I have done the same earth for each switch and same with illumination.

Is there a reason, why I could not use a common positive feed, from one feed with suitable sized fuse for all switches and then loop in and out to each switch?.

For each relay I am switching I will have a fuse for each one. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I think there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you use the correct wire diameter. Note that, if you have for instance 6 switches and they are all on, then the first loop gets 6 times the current needed for the relays. I guess a relay needs approx. 200-300 mA, so with a decent wire size that won't be a problem.
I wired my muddstuff panel with 7 carling switches this same way. Wink Cheers, Vincent

So some 16amp thin wall would suffice. The idea dawned on me while cooking tea... Normally I run a positive wiring up the to switch and then another wire back down. So plenty of wire knocking around. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I suppose it would depend on how many switches you have and what the switches were for. What would the effect of that one fuse blowing be, loss of all headlights or just a load of relatively unimportant auxiliaries? 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

The switches are for things like, rear work lights, front spot lights, orange strobe lights. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Each switch will have a relay, with a fuse for each circuit. 1999 Defender TD5 110
