Green Plug above Sump
I just noticed there is a green plug socket just above the sump joint on the starboard side of the engine with nothing connected.
Should something be plugged in here?

Yes, I asked the same question recently and ad far as I recall didn't get an answer. I think it's provision for an oil level sensor, not fitted on the Defender.

mines got the sensor in the block by the sump and the plug on the loom , but its never been plugged in

don't know what the sensor is

just wondered !

I think that this green plug is an oil level sensor which exist on the engine Puma Ford Transit (on this one, it is connected)
