i've fitted the 3 pin mobile centre relay with original Perie led units(its a little slow) and never shoes the trailer symbol, its never bothered me that it doesnt even when towing, really cant see why you would need it to flash or buzz.

It's a requirement if towing as far as I am aware.

trouble is some new cars having bulb failure display on dash will give you a warning you have a trailer bulb out , so don't need a extra light on dash or buzzer , so the regulation of having a extra flashing light for trailer or buzzer is not needed.

Hi

I fitted the RDX indicators from Bolt on Bits to my 1997 110, changed the relay to the one supplied and when I turn left or right the hazard lights come on. Changed the hazard switch, still the same. Tried the relay in another defender with the same lights and works fine.

Has anyone come across this before or got any suggestions on how to fix it?

thanks

Have you got side indicators on the wings with incandescent bulbs if so check that the bulbs are OK. I had a similar problem with LED indicators (although mine were WIPAC) and discovered that one of the side repeater bulbs was corroded changed it for a new one and everything worked fine.

The passenger side doesn't work, changed the bulb but still doesn't work. Not sure how to get to it to see if the wiring is
damaged or connected properly, would I need to take the wing off?

Please say no

Take off the lights or add one at a time until you find the culprit, other than that it will be wiring investigation.

No it should flip out if you have the orange oblong one it just a is push fit into the wing with two plastic pins if you have the later small square one that also will just flip out. I am sure that the bulb will be your problem as I said I had similar issues and once I sorted out the bulb all was fine!

To remove the side repeaters you should push forward and should come out the side nearest the back.
The TD5 & Puma ones are like this anyway

Thanks for the replies.
It was the side indicators . A loose connection on the passenger side. All working fine.
Again thanks for the help.
