Where Land Rover should be getting its inspiration from
The Badger...

I mean, they might as well replicate the original Defender's story in following US military endeavours. In any case the Badger ticks the right boxes:

* Versatility

* Simplicity

* Field repairability

* Capability

Those to me are the essence of what a Defender should be about. There's even mention of a possible civilian version.

Don't see any future Defender looking like that having any prospect of making it to production.

Just googled it and there are loads of Military vehicles named 'Badger.' Could just imagine trundling off to do some shopping or collecting my 7 year old in an 8x8 vehicle.

Shocked If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I think it does work, it's just the forum has a habit of adding an extra "[/url]" at the end. Seen it happen many times.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think a future Defender should look like the Badger, but the engineering brief is pretty much spot on.

Still doesn't work. Question

Sod it I'll have to stick with my Defender! Cool

**Edit** Thanks Tiger link works!

Still got a hell of a long long way to go for it to be marketable to the civilian populous I would say, but it must be more than capable if the US Military are trialling it. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I think there might possibly be some Type Approval issues with that!
