Motorbike clothing?
Seeing as lots of you have motorbikes, and some of you have the same bike as me (R1200GSA) then I wondered what clothing your wore?

Im a big bloke and find the motorbike shops don't stock my sizes, so I had to go online and order clothing to try at home. Eventually after sending loads of stuff back, I settled with a Lindstrands Qattara jacket & Lindstrands TT trousers, and a Shoei Neotec lid. All seem to be brilliant bits of kit, though I might be looking for something more suitable when winter arrives.

So what jacket/trousers/gloves do you use?

Believe me I've tried lots and the best kit is made by Rukka. Unfortunately its also the most expensive Big Cry

I came close to buying sone Rukka gear, but the online retailer got fed up with my returning so much clothing that they banned me, so they lost out on the sale Mr. Green

Does Rukka gear feel quite heavy and stiff?

I bought mine from this site http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/en_GB/...2F10207048
When their sale is on you can get a Rukka suit at less than half price. Delivery to UK is very reasonable and quick. It is quality gear and you'll know it when you wear it. Go somewhere local and try for size first.

When I had my gs1200
I had the BMW motorad kit and it was great. Worth a look if your going top end.
I also liked Arai lids as they seemed the most comfortable.
The last one saved my life.

Depends really on the bike....touring, sports, roadster, Parker Knoll on Wheels,

Dainese are hard to beat for protection but you then need a waterproof suit to go over the leathers for anything greater than light showers. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Another Rukka advocate here. Expensive, but mine has lasted extremely well, dramatically reducing the 'true' cost of ownership compared with lower quality brands and their inherently shorter lifespan (in my experience anyway).

Another vote for Rukka. I have heard that one of the BMW suits (street guard rings a bell) is re branded Rukka.

I have some BMW Atlantis 4 trousers that I wore daily through last winter and never once let the rain it.

Look at Heated jackets for when winter arrives, couldn't be with out mine now. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!

BMW Motorad kit, pricey but very, very good.

Then again you pay for quality! You only have one life, live it....forget the cost.

Went into my BMW dealer recently and I loved their 2014 blue/grey BMW Rallye suit, but for my 5 mile commute to work id probably look like a bit of a goober Sad Their new Streetguard outfit looked impressive as well.

Not bikes but for my quad. I needed something that would e waterproof and durable. Spoke to several people and they all wore KLIM. Not cheap but it's great for my use. Trs have built in hip pads. Jkt has 5 removable protection pads. And big zips in all the right places so venting on hard ride is easy without being a pain 110 D250 SE HT
