Defender 2.2 sump plug size ?
Hi all,
I have been tasked with reinstating a friends landrover that’s sat a whilst, I’m very happy mechanically but the vehicle is a reasonable distance away from me so trying to make sure I take all that’s needed

So , the sump plug is it a straight forward bolt / spanner configuration ?

Or one of those fancy Allen keys / splined affairs ?

Once it’s been serviced and up n running and mot / valeted etc it will be for sale

It will be listed on here of course
It was registered new in the last 6months of defender manufacture , it’s a 90 pick up,
Went straight from the showroom to be professionally under body treated
Has had a sprinkling of Bowler bits added amongst other bits,
Best bit is it has roughly 15k on the clock from new

Possibly the nearest you will get to a “new” one ?

Watch this space Thumbs Up

Engine sump plug is a standard hex head. Comes with rubber sealing ring and should be replaced each oil change. Part number 1013938 , see part 3 https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...ck_2.2tdci. And https://www.lrworkshop.com/parts/1013938

Torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf∙ft

Ps on the later 2.2 the oil filter is the metal canister type, not a paper one . https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...er_2.2tdci part number LR104384

Engine Oil is a C1 due to DPF , Ford's WSS-M2C-934-B Standard. See https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic34176.html

Cheers for that, I was a little surprised about a metal oil filter after having an earlier 2.4
Oils is correct grade also,
Ready to pack it up and get it doing on Monday
Cheers all
